Netanya

Netanya is a city in the Northern Centre District of Israel and is the capital of the surrounding Sharon plain. At the end of 2008 the city had a total population of 179,000. The city name has sometimes been spelled Nathania.

The location of the settlement was decided upon near the ancient site of Poleg and it was decided for it to be named for the Jewish American philanthropist Nathan Straus (1928).

Hello I am looking for some assistance. I am trying to find someone who could take a picture of my grandfather’s burial stone if there is one and email it to me. He is buried in the Netanya cemetery, Skikun Vatikin St., Netanya. PODEL - Levi - son of Yaakov Yisrael - died and was buried on Feb. 1st 1986 - 22nd Shevat 5746. PLOT 21 Bet. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My father (Levi’s son) is losing his sight and I know he would like to see where his father is at while he can. Thanks and Shabbat Shalom Robert Podel RPodel@hotmail.com
